A group of APNU+AFC supporters yesterday afternoon assembled outside of the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Shalimar Ali-Hack calling for the withdrawal of the charges which were levelled against their fellow party members stemming from the events surrounding the March 2nd elections.

The protestors were heard chanting “no justice, no business” and carried placards reading “let the law determine our petition”, “Shalimar-leave politics for politicians”, “DPP must have state policy not political policy” and “stop punishing women”.

To date, a number of officials including PNCR Chair, Volda Lawrence and APNU+AFC party agent, Carol Joseph have been charged and placed before the court.

Among those present during the protest yesterday were former Government Minister Annette Ferguson, Opposition Chief Whip Christopher Jones and Member of Parliament Coretta McDonald.
