Obituary – Johnathan Bruce Clayton

Johnathan Bruce Clayton, son of Bruce and Wrenna Clayton, was born September 20, 1985 in Seattle, Washington. He was loved and cherished by many.  His life and memory will go forth as one of Love and Service.

Clayton attended his elementary school years at Kirkland SDA School.  His Middle School years were attended at Bellevue Christian School.  He attended Sammamish High School and graduated with Honors. Johnathan was an active member of the Honor Society, the Black Students Association, and the Jack & Jill Association during his High School years. He loved sports and was active and participated in Soccer, Baseball and Basketball teams.

Clayton was accepted and attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles California in the school of Science and Engineering. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training in 2008. He also pledged in the Beta Gamma Nu Fraternity.

Clayton was accepted to the Cleveland School of Chiropractic Medicine in Southern California with the desire to obtain his Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic Medicine. His plans were put on hold after his first year of studies due to a serious medical diagnosis, which he has battled courageously for the past 10 years.

Clayton was an entrepreneur at heart and was able to start his own company, P.A.W.S. Inc. – ‘Performance and Wellness Services’- as a Dog Behaviorist.  He was famously known as “the Dog Whisperer” to all of his clients and dog parks here in the Northwest. His Kind and Gentle Spirit was an inspiration to all. His Service Dog Boomer was his constant companion and friend.

After a long illness, Clayton was called Home for his Homecoming on February 10, 2021.

2 Timothy 4:7,8 “I have Fought the Good Fight, I have finished the Race, I have kept the Faith; Henceforth, there is laid up for me a Crown of Righteousness…”

Clayton is survived by his parents, Bruce and Wrenna Clayton, his sister Dr. Janelle Clayton, his Grandfather James J. Boyd, Jr. and wife, his aunts, uncles, and multiple cousins. He is preceded in death by his Grandmothers, Earnell Boyd, and Mary Clayton; His Grandfather, John B. Clayton; and his Service Dog Boomer.
