Despite an ethics investigation into a deal involving the office of former City Administrator Rashad Young and Howard University, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser wants the city council to move forward next month with a second vote to approve funding for a replacement hospital on the school’s Northwest campus.

On Friday, Young abruptly vacated the post he’d held since 2015 running daily operations of the Bowser administration after it was revealed he had been in talks with the university to secure a job after negotiating a deal for nearly $300 million in tax breaks and public funding for a new hospital.

Bowser said Monday during a news conference that she will share findings from the Board of Ethics and Accountability’s investigation, WTOP reported.
