Trinidad: Brothers charged with quadruple murder

(Trinidad Express) A second man has been charged with a quadruple murder which occurred in May 2020.

Akeem Mitchell aka ‘Yellows’, 27, of St. Croix Road, Princes Town, was charged with the offences by Insp. (Ag.) Glenn Persad of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region 3,.

He is expected to appear virtually before a Princes Town Magistrate today.

The bodies of Jose Gregoria Serrano Espejo, Aaron George, Guimar Jose Rausseo Marcano and Danill Mitchell, were discovered on Monday 25th May 2020, at Daly Road, New Grant, Princes Town. They had all been shot in their heads.

 
The suspect was arrested by investigators on Friday 11th September, 2020, in connection with the murders.

This arrest was also as a result of a painstaking investigation which was spearheaded by Supt. Sean Dhilpaul, of the HBI Region 3, in collaboration and with the support of RAU, CSMU, Southern Division, Northern Division, and SORT.

On July 15, the accused’s younger brother, Anthony Mitchell, aka ‘Pookie’, of Malgretoute Road, Princes Town, was also charged in connection with the same murders.
