The Natomas Unified School District (NUSD) says its diversity is its strength. The local district wants to engage with parents and education advocates and will host two opportunities for the community on Monday, August 30.

The public is invited to attend and share ideas for enhanced engagement, new parents workshops, and learn how their perspectives can help the school district be more inclusive and supportive of the African American community.

There are two opportunities to participate. A virtual meeting is set to take place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. An in-person meeting will be held at the Natomas Unified School District Education Center, located at 1901 Arena Boulevard, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Light dinner will be served.

The events also offer the chance to meet the NUSD’s new community engagement and family engagement team. There will be remarks from Executive Director Diedra Powell and coordinators Lisett Mijares and Ekuah Ramsey-Gilbert.RSVP for the link to the virtual session at www.natomasunified.org.
