Arnett Gardens teen charged with shooting 11-year-old girl

The police say 18-year-old Jermaine Balfour of Eighth Street in Arnett Gardens, Kingston 12 has been charged with shooting with intent and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

An Arnett Gardens teen has now been charged for the June 5 shooting of an 11-year-old girl.

The police say 18-year-old Jermaine Balfour of Eighth Street in Arnett Gardens, Kingston 12 has been charged with shooting with intent and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The little girl was playing along Mexico Way last month when Balfour and another assailant reportedly approached and opened gunfire hitting the child.

Police were summoned and the wounded girl was taken to hospital where she was admitted in stable condition.

Balfour was held a month later.
