Mitcham man charged with rape and kidnap of girl

Kadian Nelson is due to appear in Wimbledon Magistrates Court today

KADIAN NELSON has now been charged with rape and kidnap over an alleged incident with a teenage girl.

Nelson, aged 26 was arrested earlier in the week in relation to an event at 7am on Tuesday.

The event took place in North Place, close to Colliers Wood.

The police have said the teenage victim is receiving support from specialist officers.

Nelson is scheduled to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court today.

The Metropolitan police have reminded people to be  “mindful of sharing information via social media that could identify the alleged victim, or affect any potential future proceedings.”
