The Ministry of Health today said that as August 02, 2021, two more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 549.
The latest fatalities are two females, a 54-year-old from Region 4 (Demerara-Mahaica) and a 55-year-old from Region 2 (Pomeroon-Supenaam). They both died while receiving care at the ministry’s medical facility.
