Concerned Black Men of Massachusetts was established in 1989

In April 1989, a group of 10 Black men from different backgrounds and professional disciplines met to discuss the quality of life issues for African Americans. From this meeting evolved “Concerned Black Men of Massachusetts” (CBMM); a non-profit organization incorporated June 21, 1989.

CBMM is an established charitable, non-profit, tax-exempt, 501 (c)(3) organization comprised of a fellowship of men from many different disciplines throughout Massachusetts.  Working in spirited cooperation with Black women, CBMM is dedicated to asserting the Black male’s importance to the perpetuation of family and community cohesiveness through education, social and cultural principles, and economic interdependence.
